| Course Description
The 2010 Fellows Career Development Forum is intended to introduce fellows to a broad range of cardiovascular topics, including basic science, risk factors, disease management, gender-based health care disparities and outcomes, cardiac imaging, electrophysiology and interventional cardiology. Fellow-specific content will also be included which focuses on training and workforce issues precipitated by healthcare reform, research presentations, career development curricula, and exclusive hands-on training opportunities on a variety of cardiovascular diagnostic and therapeutic modalities. Through a series of concurrent sessions, fellows will have real-time, hands-on experience with Industry representatives with the newest cardiovascular technologies and devices.
Program Information
The forum will offer cardiology fellows an opportunity to present their research in all facets of cardiovascular disease, including heart failure, atherosclerosis, hypertension and thrombosis and discuss their findings with cardiology faculty from around the country. Fellows will be invited to give a poster presentation of their work. Posters will be on display throughout the Exhibit Hall during the 2010 Cardiology Fiesta Symposium. Travel Information
The forum is jointly sponsored by The University of Texas Health Science Center and the Texas Chapter of the American College of Cardiology. Supported by educational grants from Industry, fellows will be provided one roundtrip, coach airline ticket, hotel accommodations at the Hyatt Regency Hill Country for the nights of Tuesday, September 7th – Thursday, September 9th, ground transportation to/from the airport and all group meals during the symposium. Full Meeting Registration Fees to the 2010 Cardiology Fiesta Symposium will also be covered for all attendees. Attendance is on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to room availability.
